Jamie Oliver and Edxcel have put together a range of qualifications called Home Cooking Skills. Key stage 4 will be working towards the Level 2 award, it’s a fun and practical course that will help our students develop the knowledge and essential skills required to cook simple, nutritious and affordable food at home. The course is a mixture of practical and theory lesson covering a variety of topics such as chicken, baking, pasta and healthy eating.

There is an option for all Year 11 students to do Btec Level 1 - Introduction to the Hospitality Industry.
Alongside this they will be studying food safety, working as part of a team and applying literacy and numeracy skills, and healthy eating.
