PE & Outdoor Education

Students join us from a number of different collaborative schools with wide ranging experiences of PE and Outdoor Education. Some have huge gaps in their physical education and may not have taken part in the lessons for several months due to behaviour or attendance issues. Here at the PRS we recognise the importance of PE, Outdoor Education and the role it has in promoting long and healthy lifestyles along with building confidence, communication skills, self-esteem and encouraging teamwork.

We aim to deliver an enjoyable yet challenging curriculum that is accessible to all. Due to our class sizes and facilities, we can offer one to one tuition in the gym or outside. Our ambition is for each pupil to become physically confident, create a positive self-image and promote values such as respect and fairness that can be taken in to later life. We strive to build resilience, independence and social skills through a range of techniques and teaching styles that are not accessible in the classroom.
